Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Silk shirt: from Shanghai
Sweater: Helmut Lang
Jeans: Siwy
Trench: Coach
Bracelet: David Yurman  (bought in HK on this trip)
Watch: Hermes (bought in HK on this trip)
Shoes: Coach (6+ years old)
Bag: Tods

It has been a very hectic month at work with quite a few business trips; hence my lack of posting recently.  My recent trip was to mainland China a week ago.  On the way back to the States, I decided to stop by Hong Kong for one day to see my dear friend Jeanie (picture #3, isn't she cute), and to get some retail therapy in this shopping paradise.  I arrived Hong Kong in the morning, had lunch with Jeanie around Victoria Harbor, visited major shopping labels and department stores in Central, ran into a very famous Hong Kong singer/movie start Guo Fu Cheng on the street, had dinner with Jeanie and her husband Ah Mok around the trendy disctrict Lan Gui Fang, and then headed for the Hong Kong airport before midnight to catch the flight back to the US.  A very productive day!  The shopping trip in Hong Kong is quite fruitful.  The new chain link bracelet from David Yurman and the orange bracelet watch from Hermes are my new acquisition.  They are better priced than in the US, and they are tax free!  I had another wonderful time in Hong Kong; especially with Jeanie, my best friend since high school!

David Yurman

Bracelets and  Turquoise Ring: David Yurman
Faux leather pants: Work Custom

A close up shot of my favorite accessory of this time - David Yurman.  Yes they are pricey.  But to me, the amazing craftsmanship and the fact that they go with anything justify the purchase.   The long bracelet is actually a necklace too.  It is probably the most versatile necklace I have.  You can adjust the length so you have the look of one long necklace chain, double or triple chain necklace or make it a bracelet.  I wear them with work outfits, evening dress, casual clothes, basically everything.

Earthy tone

Cropped wool trench: Burberry London
Leather legging: Helmut Lang
Bootie: Bottega Veneta (on sale here)
Handbag: Gucci
Orange tee: Juicy Couture

Because of the busy work schedule and starting of my son's t-ball season, I haven't been able to photograph outfits and post as frequently as I hope during the past week.  Here are some quick snapshots during the past weekend after a dinner on the town.  I got this new pair of Bottega Veneta bootie recently after it finally went on sale on neimanmarcus.com.  Too bad most sizes are out though. Very comfortable to wear.  Since I have so many beige outfits, I think I am going to get lots of mileage out this one.  Happy mid week to you all!
