Grey + Grey

Shearling vest: Kenna-T from Nordstrom
T shirt: Juicy Couture
 Jeans: J Brand
Bangle, Earring, Necklace: David Yurman
Suede Boots: Nine West
Bag: YSL

Shearling vest is my new best friend.  I feel so warm and happy in it.  What I like about this particular vest is the bias cut, the color and the quality.  I don't think it is any less gorgeous than a similar Rick Owens piece.  If you like it, it is on sale here on  On the suede boots, I found it on   it is very well made.  At only around $100, I think it is a steal!

Choices of the chunky sweaters

Sweater 1: Helmut Lang
Sweater 2: Robbi & Nikki
Sweater 3: Vince Honeycomb

These are the chunky sweaters I snatched recently.  I guess I love beige too much.
Vince Honeycomb (sweater 3) is a boxy turtle neck sweater that I see myself wearing a lot
everywhere with leather leggings or skinny jeans and booties . I was ecstatic when I found it on sale on for less than half of the original.  Based on the user rating, I decide to go two size bigger to achieve the oversized and slouchy look and I am glad I did.   I got this Helmut Lang sweater in putty during the winter holiday sale on  You can see my wearing it in my blog post 2 here.  The high low crop sweater by Robbi & Nikki is my newest acquisition from the flash sale site Do you like my buys?  Which one do you like the most?

East meets west: the yellow Gold Jacket

Jacket: from Shanghai, China
Tee and leather legging: Helmut Lang
Bag: Gucci
Shoes: Steve Maden
Ring: David Yurman
I love this fur trimmed silk jacket with bold yellow gold and purple color.  To avoid looking like a girl straight from Qing dynasty, I paired it with my favorite leather legging by Helmut Lang to create a fusion look.  Am going to have a big family dinner tonight in lieu of Chinese New Year.  Hope you all have a great year of the dragon!

Buckled Coat

Coat: Versace
White tee: James Perse
Skirt: Ralph Lauren Rugby
Ring: David Yurman
Shoes: Sam Edelman

This coat is just perfect for the semi cold weather in norther California right now.  My husband took some photos of this ensemble just before our little family headed out for a stroll in the town nearby on Sunday.  I probably over dressed on the weekend, but when else I can wear a ruffled girly skirt?

Burberry and wish list

I started dreaming about this Burberry Prorsum cream leather jacket ever since I saw the
ad campaign on a magazine.  The rock chic leather detail is just so breathtaking.  As usual,
I refuse to pay full retail price unless I am buying a piece that will never go on sale.
My patience finally paid off.  I found this jacket on sale at 50% discount in an online store
and in MY size!  I know the jacket has already been a few seasons back.  But who cares
when it is such an iconic piece.  I am still waiting for the shipment to arrive.
I can't wait to share with you the photos with my wearing
this jacket.  Now, still on my wish list:
  1. Grey platform bootie
  2. Infinity cashmere loop scarf
  3. Oversized chunky sweaters
  4. Asymmetrical high low chiffon dress
  5. Colarless three quarter sleeve solid color fitted coat
  6. Chunky sweaters for my 4 year old boy

    A day in the city

    T shirt: LNA
    Cashmere Sweater: Kaufmanfranco
    Skirt: Black Halo
    shoes: Charles David
    Scarf: Louis Vuitton
    Sunglasses: Chanel

This is one of my favorite outfit combinations: a chunky bias cut sweater, black legging, booties, a big tote bag and a large scarf.  If I don't wear skirt, I usually like to wear a pair of leather legging.  The heel of the booties I was wearing is really high.  I think I am above 5' 10 with them.  But the platform design really make the walk easier.  I can't have enough of platform booties.  I want them in all neutral color tones and in all materials.

    Casual with Helmut Lang

    Sweater: Helmut Lang
    Pants: Seven Jeans
Turquoise ring: David Yurman (got in Off Saks Fifth Ave outlet for half price)
    Necklace: Hermes
Silver Turquoise earrings: from a street vendor in Mexico
    Sunglasses: Chanel
    Wedge shearling shoes: Sam Edelman
Recently I am obsessed with Helmut Lang sweaters.  They are so simple yet their cut is so flattering that they add instant chic to any casual look.  Do you agree? I got this one on sale at right after the Christmas. This sweater is still for sale at and I realize the price went up to its original.  I guess it is an one time holiday sale.  I now feel even luckier that I snatched it at deep discount.

My first blog posting: Lace + Faux fur

sleeveless cashmere turtleneck sweater: Ralph Lauren
Black long sleeve crew neck tee: Juicy Couture
    Faux Fur gilet: Bebe
Lace trumpet skirt: Bebe (had it over 5 fav)

    Necklace: husband bought from macys
    Shoes: Steve Maden

I am new to the blog world and this is my very first post.
I love fashion and great finds.  Blog gives me a venue to archive my look,
share with other fashionista and make new fashion forward friends.
My husband and I went to Santana Row in San Jose on Christmas day to
have some coffee.  All stores are closed except Starbucks.  It was a perfect opportunity
to shoot some photos on empty streets without any interruption.  For this ensemble,
I contrasted faux fur with a black lace skirt.  I like the trumpet shape high low hem of
the skirt.   I hope you like my first set of ensemble.
